Love Letters
Love Letters is a work which includes over 437 individually embroidered vintage handkerchiefs which record all of the fragments of text taken into evidence that was hand written by either Dylan Klebold or Eric Harris leading up to the Columbine High School Massacre. Handkerchiefs have many practical and symbolic uses often associated with grieving, rites of passage, secret messages or bandaging wounds. The writings include not only the plans for the event, but school assignments, to-do lists, love poems, confessions, angry rants, recipes, instructions, floor plans, screen plays, costume designs, bucket lists and plans for the post-high school future.
